A framed Alphonse Francois after Gustave Dore engraving print, Circa 1882, 'Christ Entering Jerusalem'.

The engraved print was produced by the French engraver Alphonse François and published by the Doré Gallery. The engraving was printed by Holgate Bros in 1882 who were a printing company active in the late 19th century.

Condition:

The print itself does have some oxidation marks consistent with age. The glass front is free from any chips or cracks. The gloss plaster frame does have some wear but is structurally sound. New backing tape and wall mounting has been applied to the rear.

Lettered with producers names, publication address: 'London 1st October 1899 Published by the Doré Gallery Limited 35, New Bond St.', copyright line: 'Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1882 by Franck Hunter Potter in the office of the Librairian of Congress at Washington'.
